This review focuses on what is new in the 2023 update to the 2021 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic heart failure, compared with the 2022 guideline for the management of heart failure from the American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Heart Association (AHA) and the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA).
